They may have noticed repeating life patterns that do not serve their needs or desires. They may not be sleeping at night, waking up too early, or tossing and turning.
They hit a cross roads in life and know something has got to change. What they are doing is not working any longer and leaving them with feelings of sadness, emptiness, or panic.
Their worry gets in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of friend, parent, or partner they want to be. They feel like they’re failing in coping with life. And their confidence in self is tanking.
Before they came to see me, they believed could not change these behaviors; “I have no control”. They worried “Will this really help me, can someone understand me?”. And they were pretty certain that they are stuck in this cycle of anxiety and distress forever. Suffering in silence is debilitating.
